Bridge Inspection

Nuclear Inspection
These systems use natural air circulation to remove decay heat. Utilities perform daily inspections of these systems to ensure the air inlets and outlets are not blocked (preventing natural circulation).
The use of unmanned aerial vehicles are a perfect solution for performing these daily inspections, which could save time for employees.
The unmanned aerial vehicle and associated data analysis tools have been advancing at a rapid pace, and the industry needs to determine the current functionalities and limitations of these technologies for performing remote visual inspections, particularly the area of automated inspections.

Structural Inspection
We are experts in water testing procedures and infrared building science, which allows us to identify the origin of most building envelope failures.
Our drones are outfitted with high-resolution thermal cameras, tailored toward each particular task, providing a comprehensive non-destructive building investigation in timely manner.

Thermal Inspection
Infrared technology is used to measure surface temperatures. Those measurements are digitally converted to color images that show hot areas in red and cold areas in blue.
Combining thermography with drones allows detection of defects not visible to the naked eye.

Confined Space Inspection
Confined Space inspections are usually dangerous, expensive, and time consuming. Traditional methods have exposed inspectors to the risk of getting stuck and exposure to hazardous and toxic gases and chemicals. In addition, confined spaces limit your teams mobility, making the process inefficient.
Charlotte UAVs Confined Space Inspection Services overcome these challenges. Our fleet of land, air, and see robotics allow us to safely access and inspect confined a variety of fully or partially confined spaces such as pipes, tunnels, chimneys, tanks, and more. With recent technological advances to drone obstacle avoidance, out equipment is ready to inspect even the most challenging to reach locations.

Live Inspection
A common method of performing aerial inspections is for Charlotte UAV to pilot the UAV while the professional inspector provides guidance to the pilot on what data to capture. The inspector can view the first-person viewer (FPV) video stream via tablet provided. This can be done for both Electrical Optical (EO) and Infrared (IR) inspections.
Additionally, for normal EO inspections, Charlotte UAV can provide the inspector with a head-tracking virtual reality inspection headset which allows the inspector to control the camera gimbal and view in real time. Googles shown below
Charlotte UAV also offers turnkey inspections services which would be supplemented by a post-flight inspection report. Charlotte UAV will employ a 3rd party inspector if/when a certified report is required.

OUR INSPECTION PROCESS
The Plan
TELL US ABOUT YOUR PROJECT
Charlotte UAV provides consulting services related to innovative information systems that integrate drone operations with business management processes, enhancing higher levels of efficiency for our customers. Charlotte UAV’s in-depth experience allows us to customize solutions, based on business need; from hardware design and configuration to automated collection, analysis, and robust reporting. Once we develop the best approach for the project, we will coordinate a time to perform the inspection.
DEPLOY
WE'LL CONDUCT THE INSPECTION
After we develop a strategy and confirm your project details & requirements, we deploy an FAA-Certified Drone Pilot to your location to perform the inspection. Charlotte UAV is based in Charlotte, NC and can respond to most requests for services in 5-10 business days.
INSPECTION REPORT
Our turnkey inspections services will be supplemented by a post-flight inspection report. Charlotte UAV will employ a 3rd party inspector if/when a certified report is required
DELIVERABLES
Our services are typically delivered as a digital file after a flight and post-processing. When a digital deliverable is the requested item, we will deliver the information in your specified file type identified during the planning stage.
